Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are caring, supportive, and compassionate individuals who listen without judgment. They are understanding, responsive to callers’ needs and concerns, and deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

All volunteers complete extensive professional training, equipping them to respond to a wide range of immediate and evolving situations. When appropriate, they can also provide referrals and connect callers with relevant community resources.

Telecare Distress Line is an important part of the community, providing a vital emotional safety net. By offering immediate support, we help reduce stress, prevent situations from escalating into crisis, and decrease unnecessary emergency calls and visits to the Emergency Room.
